Dinique Fritz is currently a full-time Educare student at False Bay College and plans to complete her Diploma in Education in 2023.

Attending Norman Henshilwood High School from 2014 to 2018, Dinique Fritz received a full scholarship throughout her high school career and she says the programme also gave her the opportunities to volunteer within her community.

“In 2019 I started volunteering at Highlands Primary School in Mitchell’s plain where I tutored Mathematics and English and this is where my love for education and teaching began.”

Family, Relationships & Giving Back

“The Kay Mason Foundation is an extension on my current family. We have built relationships with previous coordinators and tutors.”

Dinique says that the KMF scholarship gave her the opportunity to go to one of the best high schools in Cape Town which put her family at ease financially.

“The Kay Mason foundation has lessened the financial burden of the expensive school costs. When I was really struggling, the KMF provided me with excellent tutors when my parents couldn’t afford it.

“I am forever grateful to the KMF donors and sponsors.”

In 2019 Dinique Fritz started volunteering at Highlands Primary School in Mitchell’s plain where she tutored Mathematics and English and this, she says, is where her love for education and teaching began.

“I really enjoyed the workshops, especially the time-management and the different intelligence classes.”

Currently, Dinique is a step-up mentor with Releasing Eagles, Kay Mason Foundation’s partner in mentorship and life skill training for our scholars, staying true to her calling of education and giving back.
