GLOBAL FELLOWS

The Kay Mason Foundation UK’s Global Fellowship empowers outstanding emerging leaders to drive change on a global scale.

Meet HANYA MAJDI ALJAMAL,
KMF Global Fellow for 2025/2026.

Twice nominated for a Fulbright Scholarship and shortlisted for the Young Humanitarian Hero Award, Hanya Majdi Aljamal’s KMF Global Fellowship will fund her studies at Goldsmiths University in London for an LLM in Criminal Justice and Human Rights.

Born and raised in Gaza, Hanya has turned a childhood shaped by blockade, poverty, and displacement into a lifelong commitment to social justice, sustainable development and peace.

Raised in a working-class family of seven children, Hanya studied in classrooms of nearly 50 students – and earned a BA in English Literature with a GPA of 87.6% in 2019.  She went on to teach English, helping students access college and jobs.  When war destroyed her home and career, she transitioned to humanitarian work and now contributes to UN-level discussions and delivers aid directly in displaced communities.
